During the summer of 2020, I bought a candle making kit. I love candles just as much as everyone else, but I thought, what is actually in this? Who made it? Where was it made? Why are they so expensive? Why can’t I find candles that don’t assault my nose or have unnatural smells that are just not right. Can I reuse the container or at least recycle it? I just decided to make candles for myself and cut all that noise out of the equation.
While the world was on lockdown, I made a lot of candles. Stella made the world slow down. She taught me how to just enjoy being together. Having this time together was a gift. She would hang out with me while I carefully curated my process. I researched. I tested, tested and tested some more. I involved friends and family to join me in doing burn tests, gathering and comparing feedback to someday present a candle line that was inline with what I want from a candle company. Perfect. Natural. Just like Stella. Simply made with soy wax that is sustainably grown in America by American farmers. Carefully crafted scents that evoke bliss.

Sustainable ingredients you can feel good about with a price tag that’s not ridiculous.
