Use & Care

For your first burn and every one after, make sure the wick is trimmed to 1/4″ EVERY TIME. Do not light a candle that has a carbon “mushroom” at the tip of the wick.

MELTPOOL- This means the wax has been heated long enough to reach the edge of the container. The first time you light your candle, after you have trimmed it to 1/4″, be sure to burn for at least and hour or until the wax is melted to the edge of the container. Ensuring this happens will prevent tunneling for future candle burning pleasure. Lumpy tops after burning are quite common with pure soy wax. The good news is that this is a by-product of all-natural wax and it does not affect the performance of the candle.

SAFETY ZONE!

Trim wick to 1/4″ before each burn.

Do not leave burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room and before going to sleep. Burn for a maximum of 4 hours.

Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

Keep lit candles away from open windows, drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents.

HOW TO CLEAN / REUSE / RECYCLE YOUR JAR– Once your candle is spent, DO NOT put it in the freezer. Place the lid on and run the sides and bottom under warm water. Soy wax melts very easily. You can also let it sit in a shallow bowl of hot water with the lid off. Use a paper towel or old rag to wipe out excess wax. The white wick tab should come off easily. you can toss this and the spent wick. You can use dishsoap to clean out and or degrease with rubbing alcohol. Your jar is now clean to reuse as a food safe container or jar for storing whatever you like. You can also recycle the glass in your regular recycle bins once the wax is cleaned out. You can also check with your local city to see their rules for recycling.
